Here is a cross section of a few of the methods we have used to develop simple metal items.

License Plate Topper

From CAD drawing provided by the customer (Proprietary items)

Packaging tape dispenser

This item began as an FNFAB design from scratch

LAMBORGHINI BADGE METAL ART

This project began as clip art then was developed into 'plasma friendly' wall art

Original concept      Cut path "friendly" art work    42 inch metal sign      Painted black

1934 LaSalle dash reproduction reproduced using an obsolete part as a guide

Flame Frame. This project began as a drawing from the customer. We generated Auto CAD drawings, CNC ready clip art, and produced the item from 14 gage cold rolled steel. Finish item is 30 by 60 inches.

WISE MENTOR CAPITAL

This metal sign began as professional art work sent to us by a graphic artist

Original art work     Stenciled Metal    Second layer  Black added

Background added

Specialized steel tab

Specially made  to customers specifications

10 String Guitar Bridge

This item was developed from a drawing provided by the customer. Shown here raw and with black powder coat finish.

Porsche Key hanger

This item started as a photo of a Porsche emailed to us from a client

Safety Sync 36 by 36 inch sign

The sign began with drawings sent to us via email

Original concept    Cut path "friendly" art work

Iron Psych Works

This metal sign was developed from a small letter head logo

Original logo    Proposed CAD w/changes    24 inch raw steel sign   Painted Hammered Silver

Badge with Name wall art

This metal wall hanging started as a customer's basic drawing via regular old fashioned surface mail

Original sketch        Proposed cut path   14ga steel part

The original sketch outlines the basic idea. In the proposed cut path drawing, black represents metal while white represents "air".  Notice that every line in the cut path touches another line. Lines or lettering cannot 'float' in mid air so we had to modify the original sketch to make this a usable cut path.

Wheel Chair Foot Plate (Quickie GT)

This steel wheel chair foot plate began with only a cardboard template

Card Board Pattern    Steel Floor plate

Powder Coated

Stainless steel Backing   Assembled Installed

Fire Fighter Emblem

These steel emblems began with clip art from our inventory of vector graphics in .dxf format

Sand Blasted ready for paint  Powder coated and baked

Metal Dragon

This metal art wall hanging began as a customer's drawing and basic idea of what they wanted the item to look like.

Theme   Dragon added  steel

Skull and Cross Bones Emblem

This steel emblem began as a 'cut and paste' paper sample via FAX

Paper    Computer traced path

resulting steel part:

Black Powder Coating  Red Powder Coating

The skull and cross bones seen here started as a similar image already posted on this web site. The customer printed then pasted paper cut outs into the configuration required. We scaled the image to meet the customer's needs then turned the image into a cut path and made a sample from 14ga steel.

Custom Metal Cover Plate

This metal cover plate came to us via email as a simple drawing

Customer drawing   Finished metal Part

Replacement antique car grill

This came to us as a tracing of only one of the ribs of antique car grill and we fabricated an entire new grill from 14 gage steel.

Tracing of original part.  Newly constructed metal grill

8 ft tall metal art tree

This project started as a sketch provided by the customer.  Here's the process:

Customer provides sketch of a large proposed tree

Sketch is re drawn by FNFAB in Auto CAD software

CAD Drawing is made into a 3 part puzzle for shipping purposes.

A cutting path is generated from the CAD drawing

This item was cut from 11 ga steel and powder coated textured rust color.

Negrete Family Coat of Arms

Picture 1 shows that this item began as a very small existing drawing. Original drawing is less than 2 inches square. Picture 2 shows the proposed refined drawing. Picture 3 shows the item turned into a 42 inch tall metal art item.

Firewall cover plate.

Notice the before and after photos of this 1967 Chevelle / El Camino  fire wall.  The customer provided a full size paper pattern. We turned it into a CAD drawing then cut out a 14 gage steel fire wall beauty plate.
