The original sketch outlines the basic idea. In the proposed cut path drawing, black represents metal while white represents "air". Notice that every line in the cut path touches another line. Lines or lettering cannot 'float' in mid air so we had to modify the original sketch to make this a usable cut path. The skull and cross bones seen here started as a similar image already posted on this web site. The customer printed then pasted paper cut outs into the configuration required. We scaled the image to meet the customer's needs then turned the image into a cut path and made a sample from 14ga steel. Custom Metal Cover Plate This metal cover plate came to us via email as a simple drawing
Replacement antique car grill This came to us as a tracing of only one of the ribs of antique car grill and we fabricated an entire new grill from 14 gage steel.
8 ft tall metal art tree This project started as a sketch provided by the customer. Here's the process: Customer provides sketch of a large proposed tree Sketch is re drawn by FNFAB in Auto CAD software CAD Drawing is made into a 3 part puzzle for shipping purposes. A cutting path is generated from the CAD drawing This item was cut from 11 ga steel and powder coated textured rust color. Negrete Family Coat of Arms Picture 1 shows that this item began as a very small existing drawing. Original drawing is less than 2 inches square. Picture 2 shows the proposed refined drawing. Picture 3 shows the item turned into a 42 inch tall metal art item. Firewall cover plate. Notice the before and after photos of this 1967 Chevelle / El Camino fire wall. The customer provided a full size paper pattern. We turned it into a CAD drawing then cut out a 14 gage steel fire wall beauty plate.
